Anatomy

DRAWINGS | ROBOTICS | MIXED MEDIA

Anatomy series

The front and back torso, an arm and leg, and finally the head. These drawing studies consist of the skeletal system, and the muscular system, and then I added in a robotics layer.  I wanted to show the human figure in a traditional anatomical way and a futuristic way. (April 2018)All on 24"x 18" Sketch paper, vellum (type of transparent paper), and the second sheet of vellum. Materials used: graphite pencils, micron pens, and Copic Markers.

Contemporary Triptych: (May 2018)

This was my very last project in college.  I wanted to make a collage, an expressive self-portrait, and a representative feeling. The college is to represent the issues of contemporary art. My expressive self-portrait portrays what's going on inside my head, while the background is a physical representation. Finally, the paintings with hands are that feeling right before getting starting in a virtual reality gaming console. For instance, I was testing out the Oculus Rift and this painting is representing how I felt. Losing my reality to a game.

"Prosthetic Study" (April 2018)

This is a study of prosthetic, animal enhanced features, and then biomechanics. It was for a more realistic way of seeing the now problems that are fixed with new technology.
